Before becoming an independent SEO & GEO consultant, I led SEO & Digital Analytics for a Swiss bank and was the Marketing Lead for a Swiss tech startup.

What are SEO & GEO, and why choose them as marketing channels?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. Traditionally, we refer to Google as the search engine, since it holds around 90% market share. However, there are also other search engines such as Bing, DuckDuckGo, and others. Say you’re active in the robo-advisor market. Your SEO objective would be to secure top positions for the following query:

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization. It’s the practice of optimizing your website to appear in LLMs (Large Language Models) such as AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity, and others. GEO is a very young discipline. The acronym isn’t yet set in stone. Some people also refer to it as LLMO (Large Language Model Optimization) or AIO (AI Optimization). Let’s stick to the example of robo advisor. If your brand appears in the below query, that’s a result of GEO:

With SEO & GEO, you are not paying Google. We optimise your website with text, technical tweaks and off-page activities for the defined search terms. You won’t get visibility overnight. SEO & GEO take time. Typically we see good results 6 months after implementing the changes on your websites. But once you reach visibility, it stays.

The cost for the above-mentioned approach is as follows:

  2. Keyword Research: CHF 3400.00 for up to 10 money pages and 24 keyword ideas for blog posts
  3. Implementation: starting from CHF 3040.00 per month
  4. Tracking & Analytics: Included in the retainer.

The SEO & GEO audit and keyword research will take 1.5 months. The implementation is on a monthly basis.
